The weather was perfect and the company was awesome as we headed out to the Duchek Farm located NW of Esterhazy for Week 5 of the Spring Edition of GX94 Supper in the Field. Darryl & Louise Duchek along with their Sons & Families, Colin, Curtis & Jamie, proved to be exceptional hosts as we met at their family farm along with numerous relatives and friends. Seeding recently wrapped up on their 8500 Acre Grain Farm and the mood was certainly relaxed throughout the evening. The Duchek’s seeded a mix of Wheat, Barley, Flax & Canola and all with one 76′ Air Drill. That’s a lot of hours and good organization to seed 8500 Acres with 1 seeding unit. There were many discussions, jokes & laughter as we enjoyed the meal and refreshments. The giving of prizes was followed by a group picture and the interview with Rod McDonald to be aired on the Farm Show Thursday at Noon on GX94. A great evening with great people, thank you to the Duchek Family and all the best throughout the 2017 farming season and beyond!
